Juli is a trained and experienced mediator, with specialized training in Family Mediation and Public Policy Mediation. She was a volunteer mediator for the Austin Dispute Resolution Center for 8 years. Juli applies these skills both to organizations in conflict and to  those who want to avoid conflict and reduce the chance of lawsuits.

She has successfully helped teams and departments overcome long-standing conflicts and become more productive and satisfied at work. Juli helps the team understand the group's behavior patterns and how the entire system supports that pattern. Juli teaches the group new skills and puts those skills to work to solve real work problems. Teams that go through this process are able to resolve problems before they become morale-busters.

Key Benefits

  • Reduce time wasted in fighting, gossip and taking sides
  • Improve relationships and decision making
  • Solve chronic problems
  • Reduce the likelihood of lawsuits
  • Increase ownership in the solutions to problems

Juli has been involved in several public policy mediations, involving as many as 22 diverse and strongly opinionated stakeholders. Using a collaborative process and consensus decision making, Juli successfully facilitated public policy decision-making groups for the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), and the City of Austin Water and Wastewater Utility (Prop 2).  She also helped a group of neighbors along Hamilton Pool Road find common ground in dealing with difficult growth issues.
